Great Rollright Church of England Primary School
is a thriving village school with a warm and friendly atmosphere. Our aim is to provide the very best in education for all our pupils, whatever their ability. We make every effort to ensure that each child can develop his or her academic, social and personal skills to his or her full potential in a safe, stimulating and caring Christian environment. We are a learning school and we seek ways of helping ourselves and the children in our care to deepen understanding, and to improve skills - whether intellectual, social, physical, artistic, spiritual or creative. We see every child as an individual and we work with each one, and with you, their parents, to give support when needed or to challenge them further.
Our working environment is one which is conducive to good learning and yet which challenges us all to learn more and to improve our performance. We believe that children work best in a positive atmosphere where they have the confidence and security to be able to make mistakes and to take risks in a safe environment - and to learn from their experiences. We believe that children learn best when they are relaxed and happy, so we put great emphasis on having fun and making school enjoyable.
Our School is a busy, happy and friendly place, which sits comfortably in the midst of the local community. We value our good relationships with the church and the wider community. We are dedicated to doing the best we can for the children in our care, so we want to develop a strong partnership between you, the parents, and the school, and we want to ensure that there is good communication between us.
Our school is here to serve you and your child and we hope you will take full advantage of all that Great Rollright Primary School has to offer. Please come and visit us and judge for yourself whether this is the school that bests meets your child’s needs. We are very happy to show you around and answer any questions you may have.
We believe that wearing school uniform adds to our strong sense of identity. We are members of a team and our uniform is the "team strip". We wear red sweatshirts with the school bee logo on and under that we wear either white or red polo shirts. Navy blue or grey trousers, pinafore dresses or skirts are worn. The children must have a pair of indoor shoes to change into so we can keep our school clean and tidy. Many children also have wellington boots with them too.
School sweatshits, fleece tops, cardigans and T shirts can be ordered through the school office.
